Not yet. Keep an eye out for any announcements referring to "Podcasts"; those are what you need, and the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú are, at the very least, thinking about it. At the moment there are legal hiccups with actors' "repeat fees" or somesuch.
They've been 'thinking about it' for years. Surely it can't be beyond the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú to negotiate repeat fees with a group of part time freelance actors?
There is proven demand for an Archers Podcast (see numerous threads passim) and this is already the most popular Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú website. Why the delay, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú? What is the current status of negotiations?

It's much more complicated than that. The existing podcasts are only available on a trial basis. A move to making more/most programmes available in this way will have to pass the new Public Value Test for new services.

We couldn't agree more. A lot of the demand is coming from us on the production team!

They are continuing and there's a lot of goodwill on both sides. But there are other issues, such as the use of commercially available music (for example playing in the background at a party). You might be aware that at the moment no Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú podcast contains commercially available music. So this is another hurdle to be crossed.
So, Keri/Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú, why not pay the artists of background music PRS fees like anyone else has to do?
Thanks for your considered reply, Mr. Keri. It's just terrifically frustrating that I can get other Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú radio podcasts that I want (e.g. Mark Kermode / Simon Mayo's excellent film review slot) and numerous non-Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú podcasts (including music), but the one I really want is unavailable.
There, that's my cry for help, and I urge / thank you for continuing to press for an Archers podcast.

I'm sorry but this is just not true. The Fighting Talk podcast from Five Live includes commercially available music as it's theme tune. In addition each guest is usually introduced by a commercially available piece of music.

pahunt, where a programme uses the same pieces of music regularly as themes and "stings", they pay a "stock fee" to be allowed to use that part of the music as many times as they like; effectively they pay a largeish one-off fee to "buy" the non-exclusive rights to the music in perpetuity. This is different to the fees paid for using a one-off piece of "incidental music" in, say, a radio drama.
