I was wondering why Adam kept the Macy second name of his adoptive father, while Debbie became an Aldridge even though she was Macy's biological daughter?
Was it a product of the 'difficult' relationship Brian and Adam enjoyed when Adam was a child?
The benefit of your knowledge would be much appreciated....

I have just looked at the Characters thing on the left-hand side of this messageboard.
Where you will find more details about Adam Macy also Wikipedia has a special Archers link.
but look at the end of this left-hand details and click on that to find the Wikipedia link.
Hope that this is a bit of help

There is some stuff on this in a previous thread on Debbie's surname. Adam was never went through Debbie's conversion to Brian as a dad and never changed his surname in the way that Debbie did. (The other key piece of info is that Debbie's father, who had adopted Adam on marrying Jenny, wouldn't give permission for Brian to do the same.)
