Following a discussion in Diss The Tossas ... can anyone remember Taarm Archer's sausages being marketed to students (a tasting session at yewni)? If not, I've gone loopy. Dx
No!
(This could mean that I've gone loopy).
Think Big Bren tried out her buzz marketing tactics (ie shouting loudly and wearing tshirts) on her fellow students
I recall Bappers shouting about TA sausages in a cafe called The Copper Kettle.
There was a marketing/tasting session at which Helen and Jazzer got wasted but I don't think that it was confined to students
1 at The Bull (David didn't go)(so Ruth got undressed and went to see the cows).
1 at Grey Gables, marketing opportunity, Jazzer was Rudolph the Red nosed reindeer, Helen was Helen the rednosed drunk.

IIRC the Rudolph thing was to attract new business but only existing customers turned up leading Tom/Brenda to claim its purpose (in the first place) was to thank existing customers. No students were involved, I think, but I believe we recently heard Brenda say that had paid some students to do the shouty-marketing viz go into pubs/cafes and shout: OH DEAR, THEY'RE NOT TOM ARCHER SAUSAGES.
Tom'n'Bren may also have taken their burger van to some student event(s), but with the aim of doing business rather than a promotion.
I also vaguly recall Tom saying he was going to the 'Uni' bar to do a sossidge promotion, but we didn't here him at it.
Yes, they sponsored a club night.
Keri - Mwah!
I can now assume my brain cell is functioning reasonably well. Bless you.
