Has anyone in Ambridge ever kept goats?
In reply to Reggie Trentham in message 1
Lyndie was the great Goatmother - Demeter and Persephone, may they rest.
Yes, Betty Tucker kept Nubian goats.
And Lynda Snell, natch.
In fact, Betty used to make goats milk cheese, didn't she? And sell the milk to the shop, I think.
Of course, how could I forget. I'm faintly suprised that no-one has currently latched on to what seems to be one of the few booming sectors of British agriculture.
Betty used to make goats milk cheese, Â
Someone should tell Helen

Didn't Adam have something to do with goats in Africa? A goat based business would be much more up his street than strawberries.
Why? Do you think Helen could get a medium to ask Betty how to do it?
No - but perhaps Betty left a faded manuscript locked in a trunk somewhere revealing .... who can imagine what ...

She did tell Lynda All She Knew, when Lynda had her goats, and they had kids. Lynda probably kept copious notes (unfaded) on a computer file, so Helen has merely to contact Robert.
JD had goats a long while back, IIRC.
Weren't they Jacob sheep?
Did Aunt Laura ever have goats when she was at Ambridge Hall - or simply ducks...?

Whatever /happened/ to Demeter?
Duckingham Palace, yes! And Jemima.
And Freddie had a pet pig, and they had hens. But they tried making cheese, didn't they, so it was more likely to have beeen a goat...
You are right, Rick: JD kept Jacobs Sheep.
Was this at the same time she had the 2 Js shop?
I imagine that if anything, Brian things goats are beneath contempt and certainly wouldn't countenance being known as a goat farmer. Deer are so much more county, don't you think?
