Looking at the cricket photo on the Front Page, isn't it time from an update?
Tony and Sid's combined age must be far in excess of their combined highest scores. They are nowhere near good enough for the team nowadays.
And as for John, poor John. He's been dead for over nine years.
I know, but we only have pictures of characters in cricket gear from that era and it seems a shame not to use them.
What about a new shoot in cricket gear, I hear you say. And I agree but funds are rather tight for such things nowadays.

Don't the Beeb have a more up to date library shot of you could use? (Just a thought.)
Probably not of young Ambridge cricketers?
(Kerilings from behind just Not The Same)
Would it not be possible to get one or two cast members to come to the studio in their whites, possibly for an episode when they are playing in the Village Cup, and take a few snaps? Shouldn't be too expensive and it might add a touch of Method verisimilitude to the programme.
The mount of airtime given to cricket certainly warrants some publicity shots - someone must be doing a tie-in book? Or could Wisden bung the picture on their page, where they've got the Village Cup info, and thus share the cost??
Alternatively use one of the standard graphics like those used for the fantasy of the week
Surely that's better than something which just feels wrong.
Couldn't you use the funds from the cricket supporters club to get a photo done?
After all, if it helps Mr. Snowy to feel right, it's a Good Cause!
Aw Rosie!! How nice.
