Brian and Ruairi

  Is Brian named as Ruairi's father on his birth certificate?
  I don't remember him accompanying Shove to have him registered.
  Will Brian and jennifer have to adopt Ruairi, and if so will they be able to considering their ages?
  Or do these things not matter, assuming Brian and Jennifer are named on Shove's will, as the child's preferred guardians.
  If so, what happens if she pops her clogs before she manages to make/change her will?

  Brian is not named as Ruairi's father on the birth certificate. 'If' Brian is accepted as Ruairi's testamentary guardian, then he would not have to adopt Ruairi. I understood Siobhan to say that only Brian was named as guardian in the will. There is a thread in Diss the Archers on Irish social services which is dealing with similar questions at the moment.

  Was Siobahn still married to Tim at when Rory was born? if so Tim will be presumed to be the father unless Siobahn has done something legal to say he isn't. If Brian isnt on the birth certificate, then presumably the Irish authorities will have something to say if Brian tries to whisl him off to Ambridge after the funeral - btw Rory isn't listed as a character in the character list......
