Or just Kitty -? This, oft mentioned and seemingly much missed, club, must have been constituted and disbanded in TA/Cornstalk: The Missing Years. Even the briefest description would put me out of my misery.
Many thanks,
Elnora.

Somebody from Darrington Cricket Club had stolen the Ambridge team's mascot (Lucky the Gnome). Alistair, David, Ed and Jazzer stole him back and to disguise himself on the raid David borrowed Pip's "Hello Kitty" balaclava.
I read that as "to disguise himself on the radio" - a sensible precaution.

Thank you, mike, but mysteriouser and mysteriouser. I remember (how could I not) Lucky the Gnome; and was definitely back in listener mode. Could I have screened out the 'Hello Kitty' epis? Am I in denial? Am I Jeck?
I have no recall whatsoever of this crucial moment in T/A history.
Lucky was hidden in somebody's (locked ) garage, and Alistair was so desperate to get him back so that the Cricket Team could rub his balls for luck (the gnome's, natch), that he gathered his chums to relocate the Maurice Horton Memorial Gnome. Of course, his friends couldn't break in, so they employed poor ole Jazzer to do yer actual burgling. Everyone else had proper balaclavas, except Dave.

Very vivid, Rosie; thank you - and mike too. Did anyone see Dave looking a prat like this? (I hope there were ripe comments, and that we didn't just hear about it 'off-stage'.) I shall trawl for some archive moments.
Pedants' corner Mike but IIRC Ed wasn't part of the Hello Kitty gang...
Am prepared to be proved wrong of course.
btw I thought it was a hilarious eppy and laffed out loud throughout.

Ooooh, I think you're right (about Ed), catwomyn. Lucky the Gnome was the top TA storyline of all time (IMHO).

As I wrote the episode, I will, then. Only David, Alistair and Jazzer were involved in the intrepid raid.
Thanks for your kind comments, though!

Congrats, Keri. I have seen this epi frequently praised: I'm sorry I missed it!
