presumably, every aspect (copyrightwise) is owned by the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú
so do they get the wompum from the sale of Archers T shirts & etc ?
depending on when TA started, the tune must, almost, be out of copyright.

the tune must, almost, be out of copyright That's an interesting thought. Copyright expires a certain number of years after the composer's/author's death. But what is the situation if the copyright is owned by a company?
I think it's 50 years from first registration with MCPS
e.g., Cumberland Gap is out of copyright, much to the chagrin of Mrs Donnegan. There will be others, of similar vintage; though I heard that "Does Your Chewing gum lose its Flavour" was a rip off of the same song [but Spearmint substituted for chewing gum] in 1923
wish I had the copyright for the pips

Barwick Green wirtten in 1924 by Arthur Wood, who died in 1953. As a writer his copyright would be 75 years after death, so still in copyright. Performers lose rights 50 yrs after the performance
so, it's PRS, not MCPS, who are in the driving seat
have to confess, I wouldn't give a brass cent for any of this Sergeant Pepper stuff

Mabel is spot on re: copyright. I am impressed!
As far as TA goodies is concerned, I assume that the Addicts goodies help pay for running of Addicts.
Dunno whether the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú still has actual, as opposed to cyber, shops.
Certainly TA stuff used to be sold at reception at Pebble Mill and the stock was kept in the production office. (Still have my non-Mustard 'The Archers do it at 5 past 7' badge from them days. Prolly a collector's item by now and worth millions.)
They still have a shop at the back of Bush House, I think - it used to be the World Service Shop then became the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Shop. And when we took the youngest on a tour of TV Centre in Feb there was a shop too from which he got various Doctow Who stuff.

the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú shop moved to Margaret's Street, just round the corner, when they did some major works a few years ago.

"The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Shop sells an array of Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú themed items including DVD's of programmes as well as toys, videos and memorabilia items"
I' also like to know if the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú gets money from the boosted sales when TA actors appear on ads for commercial sector companies.
In the past this could have been used to improve the porgramme, but unfortunately it is now irredeemable...

I am honoured by your comments Lady M. Has to be said though, once a librarian, always a librarian!
I don't see why they should, unless they appear in character.
Now there's a thought.
'Hello, I'm Brian Aldridge. I've been weeping a lot recently and I've found nothing beats Kleenex for dealing with those man-size tears!'
"Hullo. I am Adam Macy and I am here to say that all our best strawberries go to make Innocent the BEST smoothies you have ever tasted".

Well said Mabel B! Haven't raised a date stamp in anger for quite a few years, but manage to keep our local library on its toes...

No, that's simply other professional work for them.
There is also a small Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Shop at the Mailbox, btw.
Ah, but do you have any 'Nuclear Free Ambridge' buttons? Very popular some years ago.
