Why was Adam celebrating his 40th birthday on Friday 22nd June when, according to the Archers' family tree, his birthdate is 22ny July?

Celebrate early, celebrate often.
Many is the time I have sat around the steam radio thinking, 'Golly gosh, what this programme needs is more birthday parties'.
Wake up and smell the candles me dear.
Because the family tree is quite wrong, and Adam's birthday has always been on June 22nd, since 1967.
It will be correct on the new version.

OOh, Arthur, are you volunteering to do it then?
If not, it will be a lot sooner than that.
