I wonder if any of the more experienced old lags out there in ML can answer either - or both - these queries:
1. Is there a quick way to do a search through old Threads to find one in particular - like a key word search - rather than having to scroll through them all?
2. When in "Your Discussions" is there any way of deleting Threads in which you are no longer interested, so that new posts do not automatically resurrect a Thread to the top of the list?
Any thoughts welcome.
Thanks,
MG
The answer to question one is no and the answer to question two is yes but I've never mastered it (plus I don't really see the point) so I'll leave it to someone else to explain.
Thanks Reggie - appreciated

Mustafa,
1) Yes there is, except it's been broken for about five years. Apparently they're working on fixing it, but it's not considered a high priority compared to all the "Server too busy!" and other board outages.
2) If you're registered with h2g2 go to your "My Space" page and unsubscribe from the threads you're no longer interested in there. Alternately, if you're using Firefox or Opera search out jont's script that adds a link to "Unsubscribe" at the top of every thread. You'll still need to register once with h2g2, but after that you never need to visit.

Peet - thank you SO much for that help. Will try it out this evening.

The quickest way I've found:
a)On the Mayo, go to the address bar at the top, and type at the end
&show=200
Press "Go"
This gives you 200 thread titles, instead of 25.
b)Press Ctrl and F (simultaneously).
This gives you a search box, into which you type the keyword.
Rosie, thank you - like Peet, Reggie & most others in ML you are a truly wonderful person!
