Do we need a new guide for immigrants into Mustardland? One explaining all the strange acronyms (TUO), nicknames and euphamisms (Hungarian translation), recurring themes and phrases (It's what Greg would have wanted) and so on that permeate Mustardese.
We had one back on the old boards which still exists somewhere but which is now largely out of date. Just thought it might be useful.
There's one that's been more recently developed, Anglo-Norman, at
I thought it had been put on the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú site by now, but I can't find it if it has.

Ah, thank 'ee kindly.
Ah, a bit of exploring has revealed that the old version is available via FAQs. The site needs updating.
We're just finding some effort (ie a person) to import Leaps' (and friends) revised version.
A query- what do the two ** mean next to a name?
People with two stars are online.
Thank you
I have been on line without my two stars. I started doubting my existence.
Who said that???

Oh no! My stars have gone now! It's like looking into a mirror and not seeing your reflection.
I'm a stranger in these parts...... can someone enlighten me as to what/who "the flea" is.
For some time now there has been a 'three minute rule', meaning that once you've made a post you can't make another for three minutes (this is to discourage frivolous posting, apparently).
To remind you of this, when writing a post whilst still within the three minute time-limit, a little asterisk appeares above the message box next to a timer. The good folks of Mustardland (TA messageboards) have dubbed this 'the flea' because it vaguely resembles one). If you try to make a post within the three minutes, the flea turns red - known as the 'angry flea'.
Many thanks for clearing that up for me. Perhaps if there was a board with all the acronyms listed (regularly updated) it might help newbies like me be a little more confident about posting. Thanks again
