I'm donig some work on Lantra Sector Skills Councils getting women in to Land based work, was thinking of using the Archers as an example. Any one know the answer? Have there been any story lines with women in traditionally male oriented jobs?
Thanks,
Carrie

Shula - etate agent
Pat and Ruth - working farmers
Caroline - hotel proprietor
Alice - RAF engineering officer (potentially)
There must be others but, as you say, no female game keeper.

Mary Pound drove tractors and (possibly, maybe my imagination?) smoked a pipe. She was an equal farmer with Ken Pound, I think.

Thanks! My whole office know not to call me between 2 and 2.15 as I have the Archers on, but I needed to check.
Cheers
