How big is Ambridge Hall? How many bedrooms? Is it just a large detached Victorian redbrick affair or more like a small manor house?
Ambridge Hall
residents: Robert & Linda Snell
Originally built for the village doctor, this Victorian, yellow-brick, six bedroom home is surrounded by a mature garden. Jack Woolley sold the home in 1973 to New Zealander Laura Archer [nee Wilson] who is fondly referred to as 鈥淎unt Laura鈥. She lived in the Hall with a lodger, Colonel Danby, until her death in 1985 of heart failure.
In 1986, The Snell鈥檚 bought the Hall from Aunt Laura鈥檚 antipodean niece who controversially inherited it upon Aunt Laura鈥檚 death.
