In last night's episode (2/10) Jennifer said that it 'would be more convenient' for Adam to drive Alice to the airport and luggage was mentioned.
This rather threw me as I would have thought someone like Brian would have a huge gas guzzler with loads of room for luggage and whatever car Adam has (I have him down for something small and nippy) it can't be 'more convenient' for him to drive Alice from that point of view.
I have a vague memory of the model of Brian's car being mentioned at one time. Does anybody know/have we been told what Brian and Adam drive?

Brian & Shove crashed when he was driving a Mercedes - saloon, not 4x4. I think other references had/have been made to Mercedes as well, but could be wrong. Cannot recall a brand reference in recent years, but have always envisaged him in something German, big, silver & expensive, to complement his arrogance.
Mr K has indicated that he sees Ian driving something like a Peugeot 207 soft-top, or a similar "girly" car (my description, not Mr K's!).
Not sure we have had reference to Adam's vehicle, but given his job and his cricket (and hence a need to carry a lot of gear around), I would expect him to drive a 4x4 4-door pick-up with a hard canopy over the back - like a Mitsubishi L200, Nissan or similar.

Ta, I had a feeling I remembered a Merc. Plenty of room for luggage in there I would have thought.

Yes, plenty of space for luggage, but not much room for dramatic tension!

It's not the size of the car that is the issue, but the fact that all her luggage is at Adam's house now.

I really didn't think of it in that context, but of course - that makes a lot of sense. Besides which, Adam is sufficiently young, strong & fit to lift Alice's cases out of the boot without suffering a hernia ...

Good point Peet, I hadn't thought of that either. It still would create too much inconvenience for Brian to pick it up from Adam and Ian's though would it?

But it wasn't a serious reason was it?

Not a serious reason, no, but Jenny clearly wanted to make it a credible reason.

I'm sure Brian had a Range Rover once upon a time

Adam tells her that Brian’s said that he will get him a car. Debbie is scathing, she didn’t realise that it was that easy to buy Adam off. Adam denies her accusations, he’s not being paid and he’s saving Brian the cost of a student, ... Jennifer is touched that Brian is buying Adam a car, but she’s worried about the finances, he tells her that this year he’s forgoing buying himself a new car, this is for the second year in a row.
