Is the current refurbishment of the village hall taking into account "green" principles? Surely Lynda Snell would be in there sorting it out - you know motion sensor lighting, solar panels, spray taps, roof insulation etc. I think we should be told.

That would cost such a vast fortune to implement that St Shules could set up another fund raising committee. Within a year they could then give it up as a bad job & have loads of parties at The Bull with all the money they had raised!

It's not that level of refurbishment.

In a village near where I live the village hall was given money from the Lottery for refurbishment. One thousand pounds, I think.
Ambridge *had* Lottery money to refurbish the Village Hall. Millenium? Anyway, not that long ago!
