Erratic modding

  I have been using the boards a wee while now, and have never, ever been modded.
  
  Until two days ago, that is. Since then I have had message blocking messages (in red, just above the flea) at least three times, saying that my message contained a word that one or more other users might find offensive.
  
  One of the words was "pesky". I just didn't post my message, so perturbed was I that "pesky" is now beyond the pale.
  
  Just now, I've had this message rebounded:
  
  "Yes, good for you, Savvie, and long may you continue to inhabit your luxury tent on the fringes of the Serengeti."
  
  After a few goes, it finally was accepted (why the initial demur?). Could you please find out what's happening?

  I noticed something similar last night too. After I hit the post button on what I thought was a perfectly innocuous message I got something saying my message contained a word that other users might find offensive.
  
  Since I couldn't work out what the word was I decided not to post the message, only to find that it had actually been posted. It hasn't subsequently been modded. Very odd.

  The first of my answers that had been modded included both "pesky" and the outrageous "drat". By a process of elimination (can't remember how I did it, but it took a few goes), I realised it was the p-word.
  
  Bit alarming because, as I say, I've never been modded at all before!
  
  Must be the nuns they've got working at the Bangalore office.

  It just happened again. Message telling me that what I'm trying to post contains naughty words. Examine message and find nothing but message gets posted all the same.
  
  I have noticed that certain combinations of letters can be difficult. I once had some difficulty postng 'Lears'. Looks as though it's worked this time though.

  Let's see if I've got this right? Some of you want to post a word as outrageous as p*sky and are suprised that it's modded? Goodness, people will be telling us about their sox next.
