No prob Loda.
This way we have more chance of a reply.
Especially as Mr K thinks I am a mere dribbly-cardiganed cat-owning saddo.
He is far more likely to reply to your thread and ignore mine.
Or call me names.

Nope.
And I still haven't put the clothes out after remembering I had forgotten to put the horses out.
I am now going to eat some Ryvitas and Double Gloucester in a state of nervous anticipation.
Then the washing.
By then our wait may be over.

I've just changed two light bulbs and left a message on an answering machine. I may have to file some bits of paper at this rate.

WORLD
I too have LAd and I thought it was first WOAD then WORD (or possibly WORMED). But if it was actually WORLD then it could also of course be WHIRLED. Would a homophone such as this be used in a test of this nature?
And why didn't Higgs drive them to the hospital in the Bentley?

I heard Woad as well and was totally baffled. However, yesterday someone provided a link to a general Alzheimer's test, and that is how I realized it must have been world.
Whirled - good one - spell that backwards - ha! No, wrong word....

You could resort to Listen Again and listen v. carefully this time.
World imo (but I'me usually wrong).
Just popped in to see what was going on!
It is 'world',I'm sure of it.I've just put the reason why it is on Dusty's other thread in DTA.I am not going to repeat what I did on here as well,I couldn't stand the shame.............

What, the shame of listening to You and Yours, wombatsnose?
Hmmm.
Dx
It was an accident, just happened to have the wireless on,at the time.It rang a bell with me,I have the most appalling memory, but some things, usually unimportant, stick in my tiny mind, the wording of the script just said You and Yours to me,anyway as someone has located the transcript,it looks like I might be right for once.

Hmmm .... likely story.
But where is Keri? He'll have to hurry up because Jenni Murray says it is going to be Carers Awareness Week on Radio 4 soon. Dx
stop messin' about
(very bad) Kenneth Williams impersonation
I heard it as "world" and there was a thread in DTA posting a link to a DIY Alzheimer's Test which used "world".
