According to Who's Who in TA, the Reverend Alan Franks has responsibility for four parishes, namely Ambridge, Penny Hassett, Darrington and Edgeley. That being the case I find it odd that he should have conducted morning service at Ambridge on two consecutive Sundays. I would have thought that he would have divided his time equally amongst the four parishes. The same presumably would apply to Christmas Day but I don't know whose turn it is this year. Pewrhaps Mr Keri can enlighten us?
Not necessarily so. He may have service at different time in different villages which would allow him to do two or maybe three services in a day. Our minister has 4 chuches but he is with us on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of each month.

Thanks for that. But I wonder if the regular churchgoers of Ambridge make the journey over to wherever it is on non-Ambridge Sundays?
He may appear in several places at once, courtesy of the Ecclesiastical Ubiquity Fairy
