Did the continuity annnouncer look at the wrong page of the Radio Times at the end of Wednesday nights episode of the Archers?
He said that in tommorrow nights (Thursday) episode, Joe and Eddie would get stuffed" although that was the line in the programme billing for the episode that had just finished.
Talking of continuity announcers, I really missed in recent weeks the gravelly tones of Neil Nunes on Radio Four, which had several female members of the audience overcome by his sexy tones...come swoon to Nunes, as it were...
But he has just popped up again as a newreader on the World Service, so fear not ladies, he is still around, although I got the feeling that he has been asked to tone down his James Brown patter a tad...
Seems to me he was on the World Service before he was ever on Radio 4.
Perhaps he was, Peggy, but I only encountered him on Radio 4, and all the discussion about him: I used to listen to the World Service quite a lot after this station closed down, but when the Third went 24 hours, I tend to stick with that...
AFAIK Neil is still on both the World Service, where I heard him before he was on R4, and on R4. I'm sure I heard him a couple of days ago on R4. I suppose it depends what time he is on & when you listen.
Alma.
