Does anyone please have the words for the Ambridge Carol?

I thought they had been written by Norman Painting, using his Archers scriptwriter name of Bruno Milner, for Christmas 1970.

However, a Google search reveals a copy of the Borchester Echo for 1967 in which is mentioned the Ambridge Carol.

Finally, does anyone know to which tune the carol is sung?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Keith

I can now give a partial reply to my own message by saying that I now have the words of the carol.

, if anyone knows when it was written, and by whom, and also the tune to which it is sung, I'd love to know, please.

Keri, perhaps you could help with this, please.

    Thanks.

    Keith

    I don't know a great deal, I'm afraid.

It's just that a member on a list I belong to said she had the words of the Ambridge Carol, and did anyone know the tune to which it should be sung. She was reluctant to copy the words, but has now done so.

I had a note somewhere which said that Bruno had written it for Christmas 1970, but a search showed that the carol was mentioned in the Borchester Echo of 1967.

Another member of my list thought he had heard Doris singing the carol, but he couldn't remember the tune.

We wondered if Lyndie might include it in her Christmas concert!!
