I am new here but having been reading the boards for ages, please help, what does Snork mean?
(apolgies if I am being really thick here!)
Hi, welcome.
snork – a term with a very specific meaning on these boards: when something you read is so funny that you splutter (or nearly splutter) your lunch/coffee/false teeth across the screen and keyboard. More generally, it means an uncontrollable outburst of unstoppable laughter. A trawl through dictionaries turned up an ancient quotation, "We lye snorkyng lyke sloggards", from the 1500s, meaning to snort like a pig
There's lots of handy info if you look at the FAQs (near the bottom left of your screen). Amongst all the info contained in that are 'message board FAQs' (top right).

Thank you, will go to FAQ PDQ. Will get the hang of it, I hope!
Thanks for asking the question Boredmakingupnames, and thanks for answering Aloysia. I was also wondering what ‘snork’ means. I discovered there are similar and differing definitions outside this message board. On link below are 12 definitions listed over two pages. I found them informative and amusing. Hope you do too.
