I understand why the child actors in TA do not record at the same time as the adults. But why is the sound quality of these edits so noticably different from the main body?
Not an overly important issue but drives me nuts!!

In answer to your question "why", I don't have an answer, but clearly we must try harder to match them.
Keri, yes, so much more important these days as we're all being encouraged to go digital.
I was saying to my wife last night how obvious Ruairidh's part had been edited in. OK, we DO listen on a high-quality digital set. If we listened on our tranny in the kitchen it wouldn't be nearly as noticeable. Just as well I don't listen on headphones!
This is just a very small point to raise.
I believe all of this may have been raised on an earlier thread.
