I've forgotten, where did Kenton get the capital to buy Jaxx Cafe?
bob
I don't believe he bought it, I think it belonged to Jack Woolley at the time he became manager, I'm not sure whether it has been disposed of since. I'm absolutely sure someone will put you right.
Bob, there was a reference to 'the new owner' visiting the café soon after Jack sold it but as far as I recall no detail as to who she'he is or anything else.
Kenton wanted to buy it but couldn't raise the Nelson Eddies.
He should have gone to Northern Wreck.

The person who bought it from Jack is definitely a 'he.' Kento referred to the fact that 'he' didn't want to make any changes, and, also, the new owner was sitting in the café when the drunken Ed and drunken Jazzer insulted all the customers and meant that, although Kenton *had* been thinking of letting Emma and Ed move in to the flat above the caff, the new owner had been so furious that Kenton virtually barred the duo from Jaxx.
