Looking at the Interactive map - very good it is - I see there is no mention of the name of the river that runs through the village. Does it have a name or is not anything as grand as a river?

Do you mean the Am, the mighty Am, brother to old man Nile etc. etc.? It has bridges, they have sailed rafts on it, and possibly (if I recall) rubber ducks - so definitely a river....
Good point. I wonder what a river running through a village called Am Bridge might be called?
it's a minor tributary of the Styx innit?
Why not call the village Amford? There's a ford isn't there? (It's south of April Cottage. Ed.)
Or is there only a gaggle of Land Rovers and Mercs?
