What's the packhouse when it's at home? Part of the ice cream factory?
Where they pack the veg, I think.
Just so.

So it's a working part of the farm? So if BL got permission to convert it, Pat and Tony would have to build an alternative... surely there's no chance of getting PP - BL can't argue it's a redundant building, and permission would necessarily require a new building, so it would have an impact.

I am totally unconvinced by this storyline. OK, so BL can apply for planning permission for anything they like, but, surely if any part of the farm tenancy is in use for agricultural (or agricultural residential, in the case of the farmhouse) purposes then it would be a breach of the tenancy agreement by BL to develop it? This storyline has not yet been fully explained and remains unbelieveable until it is. Come on SWs, get your act together on this one!
BL? "Borchester Life"? This is getting bizarre!
"BL" = Borchester Land, apparently.

Yes. Borchester Life is B-Life, I think. Anyway, context is king!

please see my thread about Matt's little ruse.
It's to get Pat to withdraw objection to the digester.
This is one of the best SL's ever.
But the digester's already got permission, as the AH&P board meeting showed.

I don't believe Planning Permission has yet been granted: it was only 2 months ago, on 17th March, that Pat picked up from Jenny that the planning application had gone in. Later that week she and the HellQueen submitted their objections.
A month later we had the whole business of AH&P needing another farm as a partner to increase the probability of a grant and make the project viable.
It was the size of those grants that the meeting last week focused on.
We have not so far, I believe, had any reference on air to planning permission having been granted ... we would still be peeling Pat from the ceiling!

I'm sure they said in the meeting that it had. I was surprised too. maybe they were only assuming that it will?

My recollection of this is just the same as MG's. The discussion was about the grant, not the planning permission. Aren't their two stages of getting planning permission, anyway (outline and detailed)? If they had detailed planning permission they would have have submitted drawings etc and would have to reapply if they wanted a bigger digester, wouldn't they?
