I posted in DTA the other day because when Brian and Matt had their argument and Brian refused to lease BL the land for the giant digester, I noticed that both Matt and Brian called the company 'Borsetshire Land'. I'd always thought it was called Borchester Land and several other posters confirmed that belief.
I assumed the error had crept in because the script writer had got it wrong and the actors just read out what was on the paper in front of them. However, listening to the omnibus I noticed that Pat and Tony, in an episode broadcast earlier this week (when discussing how to fight BL's planning application for their packhouse) both called it Borchester Land.
Now I'm wondering did the SW (the same for both episodes I assume) get it right for Pat and Tony's scene and then mess up when writing Matt and Brian's scene? Or did the SW get it wrong when writing both scenes but the actors playing Pat and Tony saw the error and corrected it themselves?
Any chance of you finding out which happened please Keri? BB
Be very careful where you go with this, BB. You may end up being called Borchester Blue.
Frankly, I think it's just indicative of the company's ambitions...
Thanks for the warning typewright but Borchester Blue's just not cheesy enough for the likes of me.

Yes, over in DTA mike suggested that before long BL will have become 'British Land'! BB
I just checked the DTA thread and Bartsfest has pointed out that Lynda also called it Borsetshire Land during the Swap Club scenes. Curiouser and curiouser. BB
It looks like "Pat and Tony" corrected on the run, perhaps unconsciously.
Ah ha, at last, someone who is paying attention to what they say.
British Land already exists - owns a huge amount of property:
