Way back in the mists of time, when Susan was away doing her porridge, there was a woman he met at the school gtaes called Maureen, or Mo, who made it quite clear that if ever Neil fancied some translations with her, she was all for it. 'Comforting each other' I think she called it. I can't remember the surname of the character, but that's not the issue.
Can anyone tell me the name of the actress who played Maureen. it's been driving me nuts, and I can't find the answer on the Interweb. I've an idea the actress is quite well known, but I don't care as long as I can find out the name.
Help!

Mo Travis was played by Roberta Kerr.
Oh well remembered both of you!
Was an interesting diversion for the Neil character - who I have always adored - but can hardly be said to have big stories since he got Susan 'in the family way'!
Bit more trivia...Roberta Kerr was married to the actor who played Kenton before Richard Attlee - Graeme Kirk.
Ah.....clever bunch you are!
LOL
Thanks all of you for that, and especially for Rosie, who put my mind at rest by telling me it was Mo TRAVIS.
I kept thinking it was Mo Tucker, who was of course the drummer with the Velvet Underground, and the thought of neil having a fling with a member of the VU is far too surreal to even contemplate.
... and a quick bit of googilng tells me that the reason I thought she was famous was that she played Wendy Crozier, who, IIRC, was one of Ken Barlow's flings in 'Coronation Street'.
In fact Ms.Kerr, has been a bit of a career soap actor, in her own way. Not only has she been in The Archers and Coronation Street, but has also had roles in Casualty, Doctors, Emmerdale and Brookside. Wonder when she's appearing in Eastenders?
Apparently the role of Kenton was first played by Judy Bennett and she was also the first Elizabeth Archer!!
Versatile.

Presumably just before retiring to "The Bill", like all good soap actors...
