Mr K, according to my records, we last heard from Chalkman in April 06, before that in Feb 05 and Feb 04.
As has been pointed out elsewhere, tonight's Chalkman sounded different ... somehow more uncouth.
Please, who was the actor? Was it a different actor to the previous occasions?
According to the Radio Times (and we all know how accurate their cast lists can be) Chalkman was played by Stephen Critchlow.
In Keri's Who's Who in The Archers 2008 book, the actor is listed as David Kendall.

Thanks, SF.
Yes, we have a new actor playing the part.
As an aside to this.
I was wondering.
If Brian was absent due to other business, and the only verbal input we got tonight was from Matt, Chalkie and the FA.
Then who ARE the other members of B.Land and were there enough at the meeting to qualify for a major decision to made re Pat n Tony's residency.

Brian was not absent due to other business - he was excluded because of his conflict of interests
I think the only other one that we have named is Andrew Eagleton.
Doesn't Matt have conflict of interest? His patner's nephew is Tony Archer.

Err ... Tony is Lil's brother.
So Matt is his tenant's brother-out-law. Close enough to declare an interest in my book.
The vote is void. Revote at the next meeting. Maybe a different outcome!

snork. Ooops. Oh dear me, sorry, I was thinking the tom thing, but meant Tony, brother, you are correct.
Not that we'll get an answer on this -
Didn't Matt and Fagash get married ? or have I been dreamin again? (around the time of THAT wedding - Chef & Polytunnels)

No I don't think they did. We'd definitely remember that one, The Beckham's wedding would pale into insignificance.
Marriage certificate or not I don't see that Matt's potential conflict of interest is any less than Brian's.
