How old is Kylie and where is she ...

  ... and what ever happened to Sharon too?
  
  We haven't heard anything about Kylie and her mum for a very long time. They surfaced in a thread in TA, and I was pondering Kylie's age - I think she must be in her twenties?

  "Born in 1972 Sharon Richards is, whatever else, a survivor. The eldest of four children and raised in a Borchester council flat, she was thrown out at the age of 17 when she became pregnant by future jail bird Clive Horrobin.
  
  After brief stays with her Horrobin in-laws, and then the Carters (her unwillingness to help out led to friction) the couple was offered a room at the vicarage by the then vicar, Jeremy Buckle.
  
  Baby Kylie was born prematurely in October 1989, her mother having smoked heavily through the pregnancy. Two months after the birth, Clive deserted mother and baby.
  
  In May of 1990 Sharon took up the offer of Pat and Tony Archer’s caravan at Bridge Farm in exchange for some casual labour and the occasional hairdo for Pat.
  
  Pat's 15-year-old son John developed a brief crush on Sharon but in early 1991 she fell for a Danish student, Thorkhil Jensen, who was helping out at the farm. Things seemed to be picking up for her when she was offered one of the council houses on the green, and she sent Clive packing when he tried to move in too. Thorkhil had to return home in the summer which saddened her. A few months later she started work at the canning factory but was marked out as a troublemaker when she raised the issue of wages and the management saw to it that she was number one in line when workers had to be laid off.
  
  She fell in love with John Archer in the early nineties and the two enjoyed a passionate and exciting romance despite the concern and anxiety of both John’s parents. Then Hayley Jordan came into his life and Sharon found herself in the uncomfortable role of ‘other woman’. She left Ambridge when Hayley found out what was going on, only to return to put flowers on his grave after his untimely and tragic death. She was not made welcome by Pat and Tony and has not returned since then."

  Thanks Mustafa, as she is not yet in her twenties, I now feel a couple of years younger than I did!

  This summary implies John kept on his relationship with Sharon right through his relationship with Hayley. That's not how I remember it - surely she moved away and came back and then did the heavby seducation scene on John (during a play?) and after that Hayley found them on the sofa in April Cottage, where she was living with John.

  This summary implies John kept on his relationship with Sharon right through his relationship with Hayley. That's not how I remember it - surely she moved away and came back  Yes Peggy, I remember it the way you do - he had finished with Sharon and was, supposedly, committed to Hayley . When Sharon came back John was weak, vain and stupid and decided not to reject her advances. And like you I remember Hayley finding them together - and I still feel sorry for her, what a hateful thing to happen to her.

  Well I feel about 102. Seems like yesterday  ... I only feel 100 now Shropshire Lad, as for about half an hour yesterday I had convinced myself Kylie must be about 21.
