Ambridge Parish Council

  In last night's (Sunday) episode of TA I was surprised to hear Lilian address David as "Mr Chairman of the Parish Council". Can anyone tell me how long David has held this office as I was under the impression that Neville Booth was Chairman.
  
  I wonder also who the other Council members are? I think both Lilian and Lynda Snell are councillors along with Neil Carter but nobody else comes to mind although I imagine there would be more than five elected members in total.
  
  And, as a final point, who acts as Clerk to the Council? I think Christine may have held the post at some time in the past but IIRC she hasn't been mentioned in this context for a long time.

  The chair used to be Derek Fletcher, but David muscled in and took the job, because he is an Archer.

  Derek Fletcher has been chairman of the PC. David took over from him once when he was indisposed and it looks if he has taken over again. Other Parish Councillors include Lilian and Lynda. Neil was recently referred to as a member - he was some years ago but I don't think we have heard of him in the role recently. Peggy was/is but I expect she has given up. Nathan Booth and Graham Ryder stood in a recent election against Lilian and Lynda but both men were unsuccessful. Jack was a member until recently as was DeadGoerge. Tony used to be a member and we don't know when he gave up. As far as we know Christine is still clerk.

  Thanks RosieT. I must have got Messrs Booth and Fletcher muddled up in my mind. But if Keri would be kind enough to provide us with a full list of the Councillors (plus the Clerk) that should settle the issue once and for all.
