Does Lorna have a second name? If so, what is it? If not, why not? Due partly to the two main reasons why she was hired plus her performance at the Farm Open Day she has been temporarily christened Lorna 'Bogbrush' Jolly-Dull over on DTA.
Something with a touch more dignity might be preferable. Anyone got the low-down?
She obviously does have a surname, but we have not yet established it, either within the team or on air.
Thank you Mr K. Can we have a competition like we did with naming the cheese?
Ooh, competitions are fraught with red tape nowadays... :o(
Maybe an informal one, with no prize?

Or a trivial prize, say a spool of red tape?

Snap! Msg 11.
I think we have a strong lead here for Lorna Doom(e)
Thanks for the link to the tres amusing thread. I really do think Lorna needs a surname. After all, silents get them: Pullen, the Booths, the Fletchers, the Thwaites, Molly Button. Why not poor Lorna?
I really do think Lorna needs a surname.Â
Indeed! Quite bizarre that she doesn't have one.
As she doesn't seem to have a family - how about Lorna Ranger (again, said by Ruth)

Not really. Jazzer was just Jazzer for a long time. And (the other way up) Higgs didn't have a forename for decades.

But Joe will be at a loss if he ever meets her, Mr K. He never refers to anyone outside the family by their first name only.

But it won't be, if she gets married and decides to do the traditional bit.

Titcombe never had a first name, then Nige started calling him Edgar, now he's back to Titcombe.
Eileen Pugsley just reverted to being a silent-Silent
Do we know Mr Pullen's first name?
No we don't I discover.
Izzy and Jason don't have second names.
Neither does Paul, unless Paul is his second name and his first name is actually Fat.

I thought he was "Bert Pullen", and they just avoided using his first name so he wouldn't get confused with Bert (Burt?) Fry.
Oh. Well he's Mr Pullen in the Who's Who - not even Bert in brackets.
He's Bob Pullen, has also been called Robert Pullen on air.

Did she ever speak? I can't remember it, please remind me.

As far as I know Eileen Pugsley hasn't been seen or heard of since her marriage (or very shortly afterwards). I fear for her safety.
Didn't Greta Garbo say "I vant to be a Lorn"

She also said, "Where are my marrons glacée?" or "Bring me my marrons glacée!" didn't she?
Poor Eileen, condemned to Titcombe's cottage and a life of serfdom to Freddie Par getter.
Didn't Greta Garbo say "I vant to be a Lorn" Â
This is a mistranslation. She had information to give to the police at the time, and what she actually said was 'I vant to be a grass'.
Lorna Drette
He's also been called Fred Pullen... or perhaps there are two...?
As for Lorna, do we know how old she is? I do not know of any under 55. Unless she is younger, and a cousin of Roy and Brenda Tucker.
So - Bert, Bob, Robert, Fred and Mr. Will the real Mr Pullen please stand up (but not too quickly).

Sean Bean and Melanie Hill had a daughter called Lorna, who I presume must be somewhere between 15 and 25 by now.
