I missed tonight's episode and cannot find it as a podcast, on iPlayer or listen again. Where is it?
I'm sorry if I'm impatient.
Jenny
Yes, I was being impatient, the podcast is there now.
Jenny
Please tell me where it is!!!! Have tried every s*dding day but can't get tonight's epi
The podcast is here:
I hope you find it.
Jenny
I'm probably telling people things they already know, but just in case... iI've just discovered that the latest episode on "catch-up" and/or the weekly episode section on this website is not always the same as on the i-player Radio 4 page.
This morning, I tried to LA to Monday night's episode. Latest episode was still Sundays, and the episode under "Monday" said 17/11/08 not available (no mention of 24/11).
I went to the i-player homepage, then to Radio 4 page on the i-player site, and the Archers episode under the alphabetical list was... Monday 24th November !

I'm sorry about this. The system which updates the link is a rather ancient one, and will be replaced next year. As you've spotted, the iPlayer often updates much quicker.

Can you give a clue as to how long the iPlayer should take to show tonight's (Tuesday 25th) episode?

I think it should usually be there after 7.30pm.

Not sure, peggysiggie. It's working ok for me. Is it all right for you now?
You could always try the podcast if you have problems with the iPlayer:
Mr keri,
When will the ancient system be replaced? I'm not yet grey haired but the frustration with iplayer/podcast could be the final cause!
Thanks

Mr K, that comment is trying to sneak under the radar.....I'm sure this will be commented on elsewhere....
However,if you could revise it to 'We are planning a big redevelopment of The Archers family next year and Ruth falls in the slurry tip and drowns' then I would order the bunting today!

We are planning a big redevelopment of The Archers site next year.Â
But will that make any difference to Listen Again, Mr K?
We can only see the mustard-coloured front-end, not the cogs and wheels behind.
Many posters on this subject, including me, have been suspicious about this because the introduction of the iPlayer coincided with the deterioration in reliability of Listen Again.
If the LA update system is automated but flaky, as you've suggested, then couldn't it be fixed without waiting for the complete overhaul of ML?
There are separate issues with iPlayer, but its integration with The Archers site (ie the Catch Up page) should be improved.
