No Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú employe as yet has had the backbone to post on these boards to explain quite what is, or not happening.
We pay a fee every year for this service and for the last 60 odd hours there has been no communication from the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú on this subject and that is unforgivable.
I will not instigate communal action but behavior such as this deserves an official complaint. It is such a shame that we have got to this point, I imagine that there is someone somewhere in a Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú office humming very loudly to make the sound of this debacle go away or is hiding under a desk. A piece of advice, it will not work.
All we want is to know quite what is going on, and the clock has just started on the official complaint.
Official complaint made and another to the people who look after the boards.
It's just a shame that it has got to this point.

seems to suggest ways of making a complaint to which you may get a reply.

I have sent a formal complaint too but its a real shame it had to come to this.
Pity Feedback is off air at the minute! I have sent this to them too as they often tackle this stuff.
Lets use all the weapons in our arsenal!

This is a messageboard for people who like the Archers, not a battle.
Complaints about technical problems are perhaps not really messageboard priority?

If there was a technical board we would have an option... there isn't! So where do you suggest people post about this to try and get something done quickly?

I suppose I was suggesting NOT posting about it. But complaining through the channels for complaints.
There did used to be a technical board, and reakky helpful people working on it. All gone since the so-called improvements, and selling off Howerd 2.

No you don't, and you have not done so for several years.
You pay for a TV licence.
5.05% of the license fee is spent on websites.
67.58% - All TV
10.45% - National network radio
9.30% - Transmission and licence fee collection costs*
7.61% - Local radio and radio in the nations
So we do pay a fee for this service, from the licence fee.

No; we pay for the privilege of having a TV. If you have a TV but no access to the web, you pay the full fee. If you have access to the web, and use Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú websites extensively, you pay nothing. Ditto radio.
So we pay for TV access; from the amount given to the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú, they decide what amounts to spend on which services. But, in effect, these are all gratis/add-ons.
Of course, were it not for radio and the web service, the government would probably have set the licence fee at a lower level, so in that way, TV owners (and TV owners alone) are paying for the websites.

Well, yes up to a point. There's an issued about watching TV via the web without a licence which is similar to the whole free-to-air business, unfortunately I can't remember exactly how it works.
I don't think the Beeb are desperately keen to publicize it all, either, as I can't find the details easily. Will post if I succeed.

I see what you mean Badgey: I meant, by paying for a license, I am paying for all the services, despite rarely watching S.'s T.V, or Radio ross.
