    Dear Keri,

When a message is referred to the mods, the message currently reads:
This posting has been temporarily hidden, because a member of our Moderation Team has referred it to the Hosts for a decision as to whether it contravenes the House rules in some way. We will do everything we can to ensure that a decision is made as quickly as possible.
This is inaccurate in two respects: first, it states that a member of the Moderation Team has referred it; and second, it states that it has been referred to the Hosts for a decision. It does seem to cause confusion in people's minds: first, that the moderators stalk this board looking for posts to remove, whereas in reality it will be just someone else using or browsing the board; and second, that part of your job is to decide whether posts break House Rules.

Would it be possible to get this changed to, say:
This posting has been temporarily hidden, because it has been referred to our Moderation Team for a decision as to whether it contravenes the House rules in some way. We will do everything we can to ensure that a decision is made as quickly as possible.
Hopefully this would remove some of the confusion people have.

Also, on a completely different matter, would you be happy to start a catch-all thread for problems with LA/iPlayer/podcasts, perhaps directing people to the area of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú website which actually deals with this? At times, the various threads on this topic threaten to engulf the board.

Sorry to add load on to you when I know you're busy, but hopefully these ideas will be useful for the future. (I admit to getting irritated by both at times, so I am an interested party, as it were, which no doubt Hansard will record.)

    thanks, as always.
    'Ö'

    Two very good sugestions, Leaps.

I've passed the first one on to the central team.

If you happen to have them to hand, could you post the link(s) to the relevant help area, so that we can quickly set up a LA/podcast thread.

    Many thanks.

OK. Petal Jam posted them on another N&Q thread about LA problems; I'll hunt about and see if I can find them.

    Keri,

    Podcasts:
    - Here's the post in which PJ posted the link: F2693942?thread=6161803&skip=20&show=20#p73314071
    - And here's the link: - a form for comments about podcasts.

Have had to do some rooting around for LA/iPlayer.
    - Here's a message board for technical issues re iPlayer:
    - And here's a page to contact re iPlayer issues:

I leave it to you to decide which of these is appropriate for posting.

I don't know if you can provide a contact form for TA synopses, which I assume is a separate issue.

    cheers
    'Ö'

Badge the iPlayer message board is very good if you have time to read through many threads, though most postings are concerned with the televisuals and downloads.

This is the complaints form for stuff you can't finds answers for [closed for the Hols right now]

    ?

Sometimes the techies recommend in thread that you use the complaints form for attention.

No idea why that link doesn't link!

    ?

NO and NO. But it does work if you copy the address and paste it into the address bar [or whatever it is called on your personal calculator.]

It's because it's https, Pidgers. For some reason the DNA system won't link to these secured pages. Thanks for the link, though; I'm sure it's useful, and Keri should be able to work them into his link if appropriate (although not from a thread, obviously).
