Thinking about the Pugsley-Titcombes (spelling?) reminds me, we haven't heard from Luiz much since Joan died.

How many people work in the stately home? We had Kathy in the Gift Shop - destroyed by the owner playing with a JCB, but opened up by the insurers almost immediately, and the dry stone walls were put up by volunteers led by a passer-by.

Bert is "one of the guides", but these seem to have been forgotten.

Who does the maintenance, cooking, accounts, Gardens etc etc.

Gerald and Joan may have lived there on their own with a few servants, but Lizzie Dripping and Nigel are supposed to be running a going concern.

No need for the housing fairy, you would think; the deserving poor of the village could be put up in the servants'quarters ("Ooh er, missus") and given work to do.

Didn't stop Lizzie whingeing about not inheriting Brookfield for putting in the hard work of being born there.

Lewis Carmichael helps run the Art Gallery.

Hugh is the Chef in the Orangery.

    Lorna runs the gift shop.

    Edgar Titcombe is the Gardener.

    Eileen Pugsley is the cook/housekeeper.

Toby is in charge of rare Breeds in the Petting Zoo, and looking after the Shire horse.

Jessica runs the falconery courses, so Siobhán could haveitaway with Brian on one.

Hayley runs the children's activities, this is currently covered by a Silent, they did at least mention they were interviewing for Hayley's Maternity leave.

    Elizabeth works in the office.

Nigel is ideas man, and works on another planet.

They have agency staff for catering, waiting, serving etc., and i think they mentioned the cleaning company once.

Bert and Megan are a couple of the Volunteer House- and Room-guides.

Bert performed as a Bard at a mediaeval banquet they were laying on for some Germans. He misunderstood the terms, thinking the £100 fee was the cost of his meal, but once this was cleared up, he was delighted at the prospect.
He wanted to perform a poem but since it refered to the war, he changed it to the 1966 World Cup instead.

Which left us with this immortal line:

Together now in friendship we will go.
    .........A. N. Fry
