Where is tonight's episode? Sadly, Bear in the Bull's special downloads link does not seem to work for me.... bah. :o(
Tonight's podcast seems to be there OK ...

Sorry Colin....It's not there now. It must be the magical podcast shifting between alternate realities. I'll have to go to bed without my podcast. Sad but true.

Really? Have just re-loaded and checked the podcasts page again and Tuesday's was the latest episode showing....?
Still nothing on Itunes.....
Just back from a holiday down under and nothing seems to have changed!!
Downloaded lots from iTunes but sadly no Wednesday Archers podcast.
I suppose that 2009 will be just like 2008, nothing has been learnt and the platitudes and the apologies (with a gentle but condecending pat on the head for us from the Mods) will signal a breathtaking lack of professionalism from those at the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú whose responsibility the podcast is!!!
A note to my fellow listeners of the podcast, in your office, workplace or the like; whould such inefficiency such as this, repeated as it is be tollerated? I ask because so many are losing their jobs now or working shorter hours and even taking pay cuts. Is it really asking too much to ask that the podcast is published on time every time or at least when it is not that an explanation and a projected time of publication is posted on this/these boards!!
I know that the missing podcasts are a nuisance, which when compounded by the non-working iplayer make some of us want to moan excessively, but did you know that you can listen via Realplayer using the following links?
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio4/1900_sun.ra
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio4/1900_mon.ra
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio4/1900_tue.ra

rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio4/1900_thu.ra
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio4/1900_fri.ra
and for omni
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio4/1000_sun.ra
(the Wednesday link was working at 7.45pm last night when the iplayer ones were coming up blank)
Not the solution when you want to listen to your TA away from PC, but better than nothing.
THANK YOU!!! So frustrated with the lack of iTunes the past two days and what appears to be a vendetta against Macs by the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú. This works FAB!!
I'm not adding anything, but just wanted to bokmark those 'Real' links! Thanks for those. Being overseas, I'm lost when there's no podcast!
Glad to be of service.
I note that we still don't have a podcast of Wednesday, but do have Thursday!

I'm new to this - is the Wednesday podcast going to appear, or is it gone forever? Makes a difference regarding how far I swim you se....
So, 29 hours have passed and still no Wednesday podcast.
This cannot be a mistake or an error, more likely a very deliberate strategy to dispense with the podcasts.
Me, an email to my MP and a torrent of the same to all of the important people that I know!!
I might suggest that you all do the same.
A perfect storm is what is required NOW!!

Same here.
Just downloaded it (Wednesday) via iTunes but interestingly it is not listed on the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú webpage.
And no communication or explanation, well there's a surprise.
Auntie does seem to have lost her voice with alarming regularity, recently!!

I do hope it reappears on the Beeb site - I have no iPod, no idea how iTunes works, but do not want a gaping hole in my nascent Archers podcast library!

It's there now ... no doubt coinciding with Mr K's morning arrival on the boards.
I can take no credit for that. I was in London for a mega-meeting yesterday and so didn't see the message board, or the main Archers site, at all.
A colleague of mine noticed first thing this morning and we re-published immediately.

Please give our thanks to that colleague.
Why does someone not look every morning to make sure that the podcast has published successfully?
I didn't know (until reading this board) that you could get the podcast via iTunes Store. Thank you so much!! Now I can take Wednesday's episode to the gym with the others instead of staying by my PC to listen again!! Thank you!!
Hi Jo, you are welcome!!
For me the podcast system has absolutely revolutionised the way that I listen to the radio etc. For example I subscribe to Slate dot com which is part of the Washington Post family and there are a myriad of great daily and weekly podcasts there that are quite superb. Not forgetting a number of things that good old Auntie also makes available.
For all the Luddites out there, an MP3 player is a window on to another wonderful world. They are cheap these days, connect to a USB port on your computer and I use iTunes which is completely free. It mostly downloads automatically.
And just to drive the point home, if a 10 year old child can use one..............!!
It really is not "rocket science".
