Since Wiki is in the news at the moment i had a glance at the entry for The Archers.
They have Kenton as a co-owner of Brookfield. i thought he renounced his share in exchange for his debts being paid off. i am reluctant to correct this as: i'm not sure, wouldn't know how to, and am not keen on appearing in The Daily Mail.
Is it right?

People often pop in stuff to Wiki, I sometimes print them out. I have one which goes into a fair amount of detail about Uncle Jeffrey, the author, and Bert's cousin, the actor, Stephen.
Someone'll be along in a minute to correct the wiki stuff, no doubt.

Technically Kenton is a co-owner of Brookfield along with his three siblings, don't think Phil and Jill still have a share.
Phil set up a complicated legal arrangement whereby all four have shares in the farm but Shula, Kenton and Elizabeth can only benefit from their shares in the unlikely event of it being sold.
Elizabeth, abetted to some extent by Kenton, made a huge fuss about it at the time. She also wanted a share in the proceeds of Bert's original cottage (can't remember its name) when David and Ruth sold it.

Rosie, Does Victorian Fan know about Bert's cousin?

I thought that was the case too
just goes to show how 'accurate' winklepedia is, shame so many folk sem to think what's in there is 'gospel'
Me too
This is its weakness. It is useful but is not exactly subject to peer review.
Anyone can alter it and often does for political reasons (as we have seen this week).

glen, if you must abbreviate it, how about calling it 'pedia? "Wiki" is a Hawaiian word ("WikiWiki" = "Hurry up!", IIRC) that is used as a generic term for /all/ sites that the user can edit in that way; Wikipedia is just one example of many Wikis.
Sorry. That's just something I get very irritated by.

If I type - wiki the archers - into Google I get the page for the programme. Pedia The Archers - delivers something different.

Oh, bliss!!
Thank-you, Elnora, for bringing this to my attention.
Almost makes up for the too-long intervals between SF's contributions.
