I have been waiting patiently for the reading of Marjorie's will and thought Roy might get a bequest.
Did she have a very slow solicitor or die intestate?

Hello, abigmac, and welcome to ML (MustardLand).
I think the consensus is that The Laurels has gobbled up all of Marjorie's Millions so there's nothing left for the Bequest Fairy to dispense.

Cameron Fraser gobbled up a lot of the Millions many years ago
(I thought it would be much better if she'd left it all to RoynHayley and then they found there was nothing left but debts, and even the silver teapot wasn't real silver.)

Mrs A never had millions of anything (apart from tall stories of Teddy shooting tigers in Africa).
Returning from Kenya and buying a house in England would have taken any money that Marjorie had. In my experience these colonial types, (that is not meant as a criticism), lived quite well while abroad, but did not have much money on coming 'home'. I think she was quite genorous to people in Ambridge and had all the upkeep of her home. The Laurels would have taken an awful lot on money and she would not have been entitled to any help whatsoever.
