I am really sorry at Hannah's departure but I have to say I am mystified how she was expected to continue part time when she returned to college. It was obviously meant to be feasible but given that she managed to work her placement by lodging at Bridge Farm and relying on lifts, how was she meant to cope part time? Even if she were at the local agricultural college (Borchester) and living in hall it would still be difficult without a car. We know that rural buses aren't great.

Yet no practical obstacles were raised. Did I miss something?

I was puzzled about her college too, ginslinger. I thought she'd been brought in from the North of England, under exceptional circs., and that was where she was returning to study.

Yes I could understand that an agricultural student might well want experience in different areas to take allowance for climate and soil differences and that she might have done one placement near home and another near college (if she were living on campus still) but ... oh well
