I think I must have missed something...Has Annabelle been injured or had a major falling out with Usha ... else why aren't they running together anymore... I know it is amusing to hear the vicar wheeze (as opposed to his wheeses) but...
I think Usha is reluctant to share her insecurity with Annabelle, as they see each other as rivals rather than cooperators.
This attack on Usha was very scary, and well done I thought. It certainly made me think about walking alone, even though I have a feisty little dog.

This saddens me. It shouldn't. Random attacks are rare. And that is why I am annoyed about this SL.
Though it seems like Oosher didn't get the registration number of her assailant's car surely she was aware of the colour and perhaps the make (if not, if it was a hatchback, 4 x 4 etc) of the car?
Given the time of day/night there wouldn't have been many vehicles on the road and a search of the CCTVs in the area - isn't there one on the village green for example - might help trace the car.
I can't beleive that Oosher wouldn't have reported this attack to the police who would have taken it very seriously (if belatedly). IRL I'd doubt very much that this man hasn't done this sort of thing before and will do it again so any information she can supply may help track him down.
Did she report this incident to the police; I don't think this was confirmed.
I believe she did report it - she said she would and then later said that she had. But look at all those dozens, possibly hundreds, of women who were attacked by the taxi driver who was convicted a couple of weeks ago. The police took no notice for a very long time. I would be very surprised if anything came of it (IRL - dunno about this SL).
Was that *on air*, or is it private backstage information?
And why did she say she'd have a shower and then report it? (but perhaps he didn't actually touch her so there'd be no forensics). (Might be bits of his jacket on the hedge, but presumably they won't bother with that as he didn't actually "do" anything much.)

Interestingly, if she'd been running there's a better chance of them finding DNA evidence of Usha on /him/ rather than the other way round.
< he didn't actually "do" anything much >
That depends on your interpretation of 'doing' and 'much'; the theft of Oosher's MP3 was insignifcant IMO in comparison to the menacing way in which it was done and the clear threat of a sexual attack which could easily have occurred given the isolated and dark location.
As I've said before, the perpetrator would have done this sort of thing before - this was no random offence - and he would almost certainly be known to the police for similar crimes.
Oh yes, of course they should investigate, it didn't sound like a first offence, but would they go as far as examining the hedge for forensics given that there was no actual bodily harm? I don't think there'd be any way of knowing if he was known to the police, so many women wouldn't even report such crimes.
if she'd touched him and if they'd actually found him before he'd washed and changed his clothes, but how probable would that be?
>perhaps he didn't actually touch her so there'd be no forensics
He didn't. Usha said "he came close" but there was no actual contact.

She could have dripped sweat on the top of his shoes.
OOh thanks .. for that I do occasionally miss the odd episode and wondered if there had been something. I can quite understand Usha not wanting to show any vulnerability to Annabelle!
