I've seen a couple of references to Sundial House in DTA. I have a feeling I should know what this is...
It's not that nursing home that Jennifer and Lilian put Jack in, is it?
Thank you.

It is the Home for Special Needs Children, which Dave made a huge song and dance about supporting, "giving something back to the community," "helping these kids who need it so much," loads of empty words made him join the committee.
There he re-met the treacherous (though lovable and Lovely-looking)Soppy Barlow, who made him several Offers which he was tempted to accept. But he rejected them. Meanwhile, his wife was planning to snatch his children, and flee with Sam to the other end of the County ....
Thank you, Rosie.
So this Sundial House was used to introduce Sexy Sophie into Ruth&David's lives. I suppose once Sophie disappeared, Dave forgot all about the special needs children. Ah well...

Yes, that was what was so irritating. He gave it up so swiftly, and never, ever did anything for the children again. Or redirected his /Supposed/ philanthropy elsewhere.
Lynda is/was also on the committee, and she never mentions it, either, unbelievably.

That's a missed opportunity. If Lynda mentioned it quite innocently, she could create some uncomfortable moments with Ruth&Dave.

A sensory garden was also involved (possibly designed by Lynda - details to be confirmed.. please..? ..Rosie...?). Yes, M.C.C. lots of potential, and possible scandals to be sniffed out here.

David used his digger in the sensory garden, I think (that sounds frightfully rude).
"Sophie can spend time with David, whom she has always regarded as someone special, someone to rely on, a lovely guy. Before he knows it David has agreed to the initial clearing work for the planned sensory garden and to go on the sub-committee."
"Lynda is involved in the Sundial garden too - it's busy people that make things happen."
Thank you, Rosie. I liked the thought of this garden and hoped to hear more of it...
Poor old David; didn't get much chance.
