Sorry if this was discussed while I was away, but why is the Felpersham Marathon on at the same time as the London Marathon?
How many marathons go on simultaneously? (That's not sarcasm, but a genuine enquiry)
Its not uncommon. Generally marathons are run on a Sunday and there are not many run through the Winter months, so that cuts down the available dates.
As well as London the Stratford marathon also took place on Sunday. Scrolling through the coming months in the runnersworld website shows 4 for the 4th May, 2 on the 31st May etc etc
The Felperham marathon was originally scheduled for March, but then for some reason the SWs rescheduled it to coincide with the London marathon. Don't ask me why...
