I quite enjoyed the episode when Jill took care of the swarm of bees. We kept bees when I was a lass and I was allowed, nay expected, to lend a hand with many aspects of their care and extraction of the honey. Does anyone know how many hives Jill has,and how does she extract the honey? We had a hand-wound extractor, but this was 45 or so years ago and my mother tells me that there are electric versions, but would Jill have one of these?
Many thanks,
Rose
This is off the top of my head, but I think it's three hives. One was damaged by a (suspected) badger, so the bees were transferred to another hive, and now Jill has swarmed a new hive so she's back to three.
That was a fit-up.
