The Archers are taking part in Songs of Praise to be recorded later this month in Evesham. Is there any way of knowing which cast members will be there?
A ps to the above...has anyone been to a recording of SOP? Apparently it takes most of a day, just wondered what happened.

You'd maybe do better asking on Archers Addicts I got an email from them talking about how to attend.
Thanks Rosie.

Have taken part in recording SoP many times, and yes it takes ages! The one in Royal Albert Hall we record in September, two programmes back to back, for transmission usually October and Christmas. We are on the platform 12.30 (after coach journey) until 4.30-5 ish, with a break in between, and then an hour break for tea, then main recording until 9.30 and it is very tiring.
My sister was in it once (as a member of the congregation). She said they did so many takes that everybody got thoroughly fed up with it. Even at the end the producer wasn't satisfied, but it was clearly getting worse rather than better so they decided to leave it.
Message 2 - Think it was last year they recorded SOP from Hereford Cathedral and they recorded both the Christmas and Easter editions on the same day !
My parents(aged 90 and 83 years) were featured on a programe in Nov. 2007 which was celebrating the Queen and Prince P's Diamond Wedding Anniversary - they were celebrating theirs at the same time. It took most of a day to film but they had a lovely day and Diane Louise Jordan was super to them.
I went to a live transmission of an Easter day edition of "Songs of Praise" about 10 years ago. It involved extensive rehearsals on the Saturday afternoon and a full rehearsal on the Sunday afternoon followed by the live transmission in the evening after a break.
However,I seem to remember TA cast members appearing on "Songs of Praise" a number of years ago. Does anyone else remember the occassion?
Yes I remember seeing Terry Molloy being interviewed - possibly in the 80s.
Yes, I remember this Songs of Praise, maybe over 20 years ago. The actor who plays Mike Tucker and his real life wife, who played the vicars wife on The Archers, spoke about their faith and chose a song "As the deer pants" It was good to hear them speak about their personal lives
Is this the same as 'As pants the hart'?
