I am sure this has been asked loads of times before
BUT
How do 6 episodes get concentrated into one omnibus on Sunday ?? I know time is saved on intro and exit music but I am still baffled as to how it is done. Is one episode shorter than the rest or are some lines taken out ? (In which case could there be a default that Daniel's lines are removed ?

Well none of the single episodes start on the hour (7 or 2)anyway because of the news headlines, then as you say there are six lots of continuity, and intro and windup music, instead of one for the omnibus.I think you'll find the single episodes are 12 mins x 6 = 72 or one hour twelve minutes plus 3 mins front and back for the omnibus.
Many thanks
Mr Keri has said that the omnibus very occasionally contains short bits that have had to be cut out of weekday episodes for time reasons.
Does anyone remember the old days when we used to have five fifteen minute episodes per week and they used to miss bits out of the trolleybus edition? If you listened to each of the episodes and to the trolleybus you could play "spot the omissions". Of course, that was before iplayers and websites.
Yes RoT
In those days there were "less important" bits that could be junked for the omnibus.
It couldn't happen now of course.
(Everything is essential)
