When Adam heard that Lilian's son James was coming to Ambridge, he remarked to Brian that James must be worried about his inheritance, and Brian agreed.
What did they mean by that? Why should James suddenly start worrying about his inheritance? Isn't it better for him if Lilian is separated from Matt and won't leave him anything in her will?
I'm confused. Can anyone enlighten me please? Thank you.

Presumably they think James may think Lillian has been spending the inheritance on propping up Matt's ailing business empire, or that Lillian was defrauded by Matt
Personally I would have thought Ralph Bellamy would have sewn it all up pretty carefully
