  I know some people discuss The Archers on Twitter.com using the #thearchers tag
  
  but...
  
  do we think we'd benefit from an official Archers twitter account? Ideally it would give previews, but not spoilers of each night's episode and give related news. Also, be the home for archers news and discussion, and leading people into the site and message boards?
  
  What do we think? I was going to offer running / managing it...

  You may do better to put this on a different part of the site, in <------------------------------ The Bull, as Notes and Queries is for queries about the programme, or about the Messageboard.

  Jerome - I feel a bit of killjoy here. But I wonder whether, in the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's eyes, this might become a substitute for the boards, which they then wouldn't have to fund?

  This site, Mustardland /is/ the official Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Archers site, home & discussion board, while the official non-Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Archers fan club also already has its own (pretty poor & liable to tumbleweed infestations) site & board.
  
  Twitter is mere flotsam, as inconsequential as a dandelion fluff blowing on the wind, and is most certainly /not/ required as an official anything. In fact the only thing worse than the idea of an official Archers Twitter account is the thought that these MBs could well soon be closed and replaced with the spawn of Satan: blog-driven, pre-modded discussion boards.
  
  Well, you did ask what "we" think ... and I think Twitter is cr@p.
