Was it Mrs. Walker who died in order that jack could inherit her room?

The only way to tell will be if there are (or are not) Gypsy Cream crumbs in the carpet.

Surely tey will clean the carpet before Alan moves Jack into the room?

Gasp! How ever much did Jennifer pay her cleaner so she could afford the Laurels, not to mention the gypsy creams (other posh biccies available on request}.
Who paid when Pru was there? the council?
But that was before The Laurels moved.
Mrs. Walker was only the Aldridge cleaner for a few weeks: she had "done" for Lady Lockhart, would not be put upon by Jennifer, had no intention of babysitting or doing anything but her set hours, required 2 Gypsy creams and a cup of camp coffee at 11 o'clock precisely, and left on her moped, to go and work for Nigel after an unsatisfactory-for-her few weeks.
There was talk of her husband ("Walker") doing the Home Farm garden, but dunno if he did.
I thought that Mrs Walker was the old lady who died and whose son accused Doc Locke of doing a Shipman.

So it was, thanks Rosie.
How funny-- I was asking a few weeks ago who did Jenny's cleaning as we never drop in and find her mopping the floor or cleaning the loo. Someone reminded me about Mrs Walker once "doing" for her, and here she is ( or should I say "was" if Jack really has inherited her room?)

We heard that she was in The Laurels from Alan or Jennifer, some months (or years?) ago.

Which village was this pub meant to be in? You can't mean Mrs. Wakler of the moped, surely, she only drank camp coffee.
Thanks Rosie -- I didn't even remember about Mrs Walker until (probably) you reminded me a few weeks ago. Perhaps that happened whilst I couldn't get Radio 4 in my part of Ireland.
I remember Mrs Walker telling JD which brand of cleaning product to get for her. She was very picky.
Hadn't she previously worked for a Lady somebody?
