Im sure this has been covered, but I took a break when could no longer cope with Emma/ Ed story line so missed this bit.
If J is shopping, is it Winson Green?
He was in Felphersham prison but was moved to an open prison (can't remember where that is).

I don't think we were told?
I think we were, Rosie. Wasn't it Whiteley or Abivale, north-east of Borchester? I recall Lilian telling someone that it was closer than Felpersham gaol and would make visiting easier.

Oh, right, I missed that! I just thought they said he'd be going "somewhere else" but I do find them so dull, I probably wasn't paying attention.
Where will Jenny go shopping when she drops Lilian off?
When I heard the name of the open nick mentioned I quickly looked on the county map for it. But as it was a very quick reference I forgot the name almost immediately afterwards, except for the general location. To me it is as far away as Felpersham gaol, but perhaps the roads to it and the parking are easier?
As for Jenny's shopping, Borchester appears favourite, but perhaps it was just an excuse to give Lilian the support she appeared to asking.

Matt was sent to an open prison in Patchley - which is the other side of Borchester, in case you're thinking of visiting

I can see Paxley on the map, but there isn't a Patchley - did someone give you incorrect information, or is it another invented place, please?

There are some here who would have preferred "He was in Newgate Gaol but was moved to Tyburn"
It's a "new" place Ìý
That's it.....Paxley, that's what I thought I'd heard, on the north-western side of Borchester (I mistakenly said north-east in a previous posting, but I meant to say north-west), that's why I thought Whitely of Abivale, in the same general area. However, if its a place not on the TA map......then perhaps Matt should be in a 'real' place, like when Nelson was remanded in Glocester gaol?

It does seem odd!! Why invent something, not on the map, miles and miles away, when there are so many, many villages so near?

Because if they did that someone might point out that we'd never heard before that that place had a prison in it - which might be a bit unlikely?

But it could be that since that place was last mentioned and due to overpopulation of prisons, a new one was built and that the SW cannot report every new facility in the Ambridge environs.

Hm. Yes, and Matt would probably have been involved in the development!

There are many, many places named on the map, and not mentioned on air, about which we know nothing, that may also have prisons.

I'm now beginning to imagine Borsetshire, RosieT, as a kind of enormous outdoor penal colony... take your point though, we had never heard of Sundial House until needed for the plot. (Though prisons are perhaps a bit different, as Ambridgeites have been locked up before).

Not in open prisons, of course!
we had never heard of Sundial HouseÌý
Let alone that Lynda was on the committee (and has yet to resign, so may be still helping out.)
Susan was in an open prison, it was easy for her to walk out to get to Mark's funeral.
