Nelson must have had a mother. Is anything known of her?

According to all my info, Walter was already a widower & I can't find any reference to her name.

Walter's wife was called Nellie. She died in the 1930s leaving Walter to bring up their only child, Gabriel.

Oh sorry. That's just how rumours start, isn't it! Nelson. Yes.

And the next question of course is were thereany women in Nelson's life? Apart from Julia Pargetter.
Nancy Tarrant had an association with Nelson which resulted in the birth of a daughter, Rosemary. She turned up more or less out of the blue a number of years ago now (whilst Walter was still alive) and IIRC neither Walter nor Nelson had any prior knowldge of her existence. Nelson was somewhat taken aback when she told him that she was a serving policewoman.

He also tried to get Lillian into a leg over situation at Hollowtree flats once. He was unsuccessful.
Then there were the famous black satin sheets on his bed which one imagines he must have put to good use from time to time.

That was the old Lillian btw. He might have had a good deal more success with the new one.
He was also very friendly with Elizabeth at one time but I think that was meant to be purely platonic.

Except with the younger Sophie Barlow, who didn;t even twig he was trying to seduce her
Who was Nancy Tarrant?
Ellen.
The two sisters were rivals over Nelson, but that may have been "platonic" too.
Wasn't there the famous Hebe, a singer in his Club over whom he swooned many years ago ?

I thought Nelson had a soft spot for Jill and in one epi tried to make his feelings known to her ...but Jill made it clear she was impervious to such suggestions or even approaches.
